Or Lasyone's in Natchitoches.

But a ham sandwich at Leas is hard to beat.

Lea's

+1. Before you leave, buy a whole pie and get them to cut you a slice out for dessert. They're usually more than happy to accommodate. It's become a bit of routine for my wife and I to make the stop every trip me take up North. If you get the pecan, get them to warm it and add a scoop of ice cream. Damn now I'm craving Lea's.

You shouldn't be passing Prejean's, 190 is the correct route to 1-49.

I usually take 190. That's why I was looking for a place besides Prejean's so I wouldn't have to back track.

Relay Station in Frierson. Most healthy shite you will take your whole time you are away.

You are welcome.

Ate there a few weeks ago. Nearly shite in my pants when paying the bill. $7 for a small ham sandwich?

Good, but not worth $7

Eddie's BBQ off 49 in Alexandria.

JK, but I've stopped there more times than I'd like to admit. It's halfway man!

I hate 190 because of the speed traps and crooked cops. It's just not worth it to save 30 miles especially considering that you can make up the time with speed if you take the interstate.

I drive it twice a week. Saves 30 minutes.... 68 mph, slow down n small towns...

-Correct answer for a boudin stop is Bourques in Port Barre. Get some jalapeño cheese bread and fresh gator sausage while there.

-190/149 in Opelousas has no dining options. Your next option going north is Lea's at LeCompte exit. I 2nd the ham sandwich and pie for the trip.

- If you aren't looking for ham sandwich - the Salad Shop is just of S I49 in Alex at the McArthur/LSUA exit on service road to the E of the hwy. it's a dive. Only 4 tables inside. She caters mostly, but makes the best burgers in Alex. May want to call her and ask if she has enough burgers for you..... She runs out daily.

- McArthur has a line of chain restaurants easily accessible from i49

- eddies be does have a store in a gas station at the Air Force bSe exit......easy to get to

- next stop is natchitoches - Lasyones plate lunch/meat pies, Mamas , Papas, Merci Boucoup, Almost Home plate lunches will all suffice, but not close to i49.

- next stop is Shreveport

It's a little out of the way and Clarence cops should be publicly humiliated for their racket but the food is still good.

Hwy 190 to Hwy 71 to Alex; I-49 then.

Stop at Kartchner's in Krotz Springs for a boudin snack. Lunch at Spirits in Alex, or Pioneer pub in Natty.
