So I am probably going to catch flack for this but I need something quick and easy. I am sick and in need of a spicy seafood gumbo but don't have the time or energy for a roux and stock. Anyone have a roux out of the jar recipe? Tia

Carys jar roux, heat it up, add trinity and cook down, mince a handful of shrimp and cook down with trinity, add kitchen basics seafood stock and bring to a boil, simmer , 15 min before service add some shrimp, and 5 min before add some crab claw meat and green onions,

Richard's frozen seafood gumbo is not bad for your situation if you really don't feel like cooking and it can be found in most grocery stores.
You can doctor it up a little with more spice or seafood.

Sautée some trinity, add store bought seafood stock and bring to boil. Add spoonfuls of jarred roux - follow directions on jar for amount or add more if you want it thicker. Stir it in until it dissolves, the let boil for half hour to an hour. Add desired amount of seafood and let boil for 5 min. Kill heat and Add chopped green onions.

Agree it needs oysters, esp if not using a seafood stock. Even if you don't like, oysters, you can cut em into 1/3s and they'll cook into the liquid. No one will see oysters and they'll rave about the flavor. Obvi do not serve to ppl who cannot eat oysters.

Some of the worst tasting stuff I've ever eaten. I will never buy any frozen richard's meals again

Store bought seafood stock has a very fishy taste. Chicken stock would be better if you have to get store bought.
Ideally make your own with shrimp heads.

LJ and Momma Paul's makes some pretty decent pre mixed gumbo. Also, add a little clam juice if you can't get any oyster liquor.
