Baby food for 9 month old

This might be a decent topic. Did anyone make premade meals for their baby arouns 8 to 9 months? What are some good proteins to start trying? Feel like I'm not branching out enough.

I can't remember if we did any proteins at that age
Lots of peas, avocado, eggs, steamed carrots, banana, sweet potato, etc
They make a loader thing that you can make your own pouches. I would make big batches and freeze them.

we did assorted veggies and froze in ice trays.
Thaw, then serve. Our 5 month old likes the sweet potato and peas.
Not so much carrots

My son was eating seafood gumbo and boiled crawfish at 7-8 months old. Not kidding. He ate the chicken and sausage gumbo at borgne and had some boiled crawfish at emerils during Mardi Gras. We also had a crawfish boil in March and he ate everything that he could get his hands on.

That's what I'd like to do, freeze some for future use. Started with banana recently too in small pieces and she loves it. Most vegetables and fruits she likes, luckily. Read online some parents try finally chopped or blended protein with veggies. Haven't tried that yet. Seems you just have to leave out salt. Of course still a few months till she can try shellfish.

This could be a great symbiotic relationship then.

Yeah we really were feeding him anything he would eat. He will eat just about anything now. Thai chicken curry. Indian food. He absolutely loves gyros. He asks for broccoli. Loves peanut butter MnMs and cake as well
Our doc told us to start feeding everything as soon as he's willing to eat it. I think the only thing he didn't eat until one year was peanuts. Gave him full eggs for sure. He's been eating scrambled eggs since he was real young.

For the most part they'll eat what you eat. Our's favorite was chicken and dumplings

I was thinking this would be a good one since the texture would be easy for them.

He still gags on pretty much all solids. He is a fan of sweet potatoes and ground chicken somedays, but most the time he still refuses completely.

These guys are brave posting pics of their daughters on TD I know I won't be doing that.
We just started our 5 month old on food. She really likes squash and peas, and is ok with sweet potato. Not a fan of banana, or rice cereal or oatmeal.

Have an 8-month old girl (along with a couple older boys) and fed her chicken for the first time last night. Made roasted chicken with root veggies, and she ate some TINY slices of roasted carrots, turnips and parsnips...liked the chicken and the carrots. I like to do that for her fine motor skills (picking up those tiny pieces of food is tough for me so I know it's tough for her), but I don't think she gets enough food that way so usually we do blended foods for breakfast and lunch.
Usually for breakfast and lunch she gets oatmeal (the kind that's been processed into a powder) with some sort of fruit blended in; lately it's been blueberries. Prior to the chicken last night we had been roasting veggies and then blending in the food processor and freezing in ice cube trays. Sweet potatoes, carrots, squash and throwing in some homemade applesauce once in awhile.
I've been reading this book called "What Chefs Feed Their Kids" lately, and they say to let your kiddo start trying to feed themselves at 7 mos...so when we are doing oatmeal I try to put the food on the spoon and let her try to make it to her mouth. Supposedly promotes eating slowly and chewing well. If you do that just know she's going to be pissed when you try to feed her later when you're inevitably in a hurry.

This is pretty much what we do for lunch and dinner. 1/3 oatmeal and 2/3 veggie/fruit puree. And the dinner at least helps her sleep longer at night. This is all making me want to roast some chicken and see how she likes it.
When did everyone ween off milk/formula? Seems like all Ped's are overly cautious and say 1 yr to ensure they get essentials.

We weened off breast feeding right at a year.

Whatever they got in the baby food section. After about 18 months both of my kids just started eating whatever everyone else was eating.

Not sure why all the downvotes? I guess Internet know it all parents that think vegetable purée and breast milk are the only two things a child can eat?
I'll trust my pediatrician. There are few limitations on what an 8 month old can eat.

Get some Hogs Head Cheese from Best Stop. It's a nice texture for a baby and their's seems lightly salted.
