So far I've been able to find them frozen at Vinh Phat or (maybe) jarred at Calandro's or Whole Foods. Which ones would you culinary aficionados use first?

Haven't had the jarred, but I'd probably try the frozen first.

I think I saw them either at Fresh Market 2 Sundays ago. Might be worth giving them a call.

Sweet. Thanks. That would be optimum cuz it's right down the street from my house.

Were they fresh, frozen, jarred?

Also, where were they in the store?

I have a jar of the one pictured from Whole Foods and also the matching Thai basil in a jar. Definitely get the fresh ones from Vihn Phat. No comparison. I have always been able to find kafir lime leaves and Thai basil in the refrigerated section at VP. Never bought any frozen. Pick up a can of red or green curry and coconut milk and you are good to go. Add it to sautéed onions, chicken or shrimp and diced eggplant ( if you like eggplant). Serve over rice.

I thought they were fresh and in the produce section. I don't think they were frozen or in a jar. Good luck finding them!

Thanks for all the responses today y'all.

Quick question for those familiar these things: the leaves are basically two leaves in one, attached end-to-end. The recipe I want to use calls for twenty leaves...is one leaf both "parts," or is each individual leaf considered "two" leaves?

The kaffir lime leaves from Vihn Phat are packaged as individual leaves. I'd guess 20 individual leaves. 40 sounds like a lot.

An Asian chicken wing recipe.

Was this recipe from "Best Thing I Ever Grilled" on the Food Network? How did they turn out? I want to make this recipe for tailgating, if I can find the leaves in nola.
