re: Anything worth trying in Jackson, MS?

if i had seen this earlier i would have told you to go to pulito osteria. you can put your name on the list for a seat in the bar and walk over to fertile ground brewery next door for some beers while you wait. there's also an outside bar (the good bar) across the street if you don't want a beer. PO is fantastic italian

Walkers drive thru is my favorite

Saltines, pig n pint are solid too. Lou’s is fantastic probably my #2 behind walkers.

I have to go to Jackson once or twice a year for work I rarely get killed while there. I always have had good experiences at Iron Horse Grill. I am told it was one of Coach Prime's favorite spots.

What about the Mayflower? Been a few years but I remember having a good meal there.

Do not leave personal items in car or truck at a motel. Thieves are bad enough but the “democrats” on the Jackson police force don’t give a crap if your car was broken into and things were stolen. Been there done that.

North jackson/Madison is a great place called Mama Hamil’s bbq and soul food. Real good. I’ve been there in a young and old crowd from LA,TX and MS and all loved it.
