Been going about 2 months now. Diet isn't very hard, but can't wait to see what blood work looks like.

I just finished 30 days of Whole 30. Lost 10 lbs and gained a ton of energy.

I'm doing it and have lost 30 lbs. I seem to have plateaued for the past month. I got no particular energy boost and my blood work was the same as always, normal.

4 or 5. I'm very thin already. Weight loss is just a happy by-product. I'm trying to improve my lipid and metabolic profiles.

What did your metabolic panel look like before you started? Can you confirm that taking 60-70% of your calories in fats/oils resulted in an improved panel? What about your triglycerides?

Any hacks to share re diet? I've found some decent ones.

head in the sand approach..don't even remember. I know the triglycerides were near 300.

Blood pressure also reduced from 150/110 to 110/70.

Love this with lower carb. I still eat a few things that would kick me out like reeses pieces but I do that for my sanity.

I love bread, cheese and meat.

So I can eat cheese and meat on this diet?

I'm in.

I read the site, it seems a little scary if it's gonna cause PMS

If you wanna lose weight, why would you do a weird diet, and not just eat the right things in proper portion sizes?

Back in Feb/March, my LDL was too high to calculate

HDL: 28
LDL: N/A
Triglyceride: 582
Non HDL: 120

I decided to do low carb because a friend of mine who was prediabetic did it, lost 30 lbs and returned perfect blood work. I lost 20lbs in 3 months, and my bloodwork was:

HDL: 41
LDL: 78
Non LDL: 95
Triglyceride: 87
Total cholesterol: 136

I didn't change a single other thing- no working out, didn't quit drinking/smoking, just quit breads, pasta, sugars, etc.

I eat animals and vegetables. What's weird about that?

Eating carbs makes the body crave more carbs. Too many carbs are bad for you. Cut out carbs, no carb cravings. It's not a weird diet, it's just a change from 'normal', which is not healthy- at least not for me, as my bloodwork shows.
