The wife and I decided to postpone our anniversary trip to NOLA this weekend due to the weather. I did a little searching of the FDB and it looks like Maison Lacour was one of the preferred restaurants for an anniversary. After looking at the menu we are both really excited to give it a try but I didn't see any recent mentions. Has anyone been lately? The menu really does look amazing top to bottom which is very rare, any thing specific we should make a point of ordering?

You better call ahead and make a reservation. They keep some strange hours and they close the restaurant when they are on vacation in France.

Edit: I think the place is great.

I called and booked before I posted. It is amazing to me that they offer such a large and varied menu while only offering a 2 hour window to seat for dinner. Usually this would raise a red flag about turnover but I have heard nothing but good things about them.

That is just a seating. You don't get run out at 7:30.

Go and enjoy. I go for lunch about once a month and even hit the early bird on occasion if I have school functions after. Great place.
