Whenever I see something advertised as having the ability to remove toxins from the body, I automatically assume the person that wrote that has an extra 21st chromosome.

What toxins are being removed and why can't our bodies remove these "toxins" without the help of this special tea? This is nothing more that pure marketing bullshite.

from personal experience I take a bunch of supplements while working out. but after awhile your body builds up an immunity to them and they don't work as well. taking a cleanser and a detox makes the supplements work like the first time you ever took them

Never tried it but I'm sure there are cheaper methods in getting probiotics (the good bacteria) in your gut.

tea is pretty cheap, plus the probiotics in kombucha is a lot more powerful than those found in yogurt

So you're saying your workout supplements are toxins?

Explain exactly how your workout supplements work and how you know when they stop working. What workout supplements are you referring to?

Exactly. The probiotic thing is real but the detox/toxin cleansing bs is well, bs.

not sure toxins is the right word, but I certainly build up a tolerance to them.

lots of body builders either take something to cleanse their system of the tolerance or go cold turkey off supps for awhile to lose the tolerance

people that do the no gluten diet or a juicing diet talk about how it cleanses their system and makes them feel a lot better. they put all kinds of crap your body don't need in food today. cleansing your body of that crap (maybe it could be considered toxins?) is a good thing.

energy to workout. my body builds up a tolerance to the boost it gives and I don't feel the energy as much anymore.

I know lots of people this happens to and they have to cleanse their body to make the supps work like they originally did when they first started taking them.

probably more preworkout supps. but my understanding from talking to people that know, it applies to all supps.

when I had to go cold turkey from the gym not long ago for a year because I tore my pec muscle, I came back and noticed my supps seemed to work a lot better than they did when I quit.

Other than preworkouts what supplements do you get measurable results from that you can tell when they are no longer working as well?

That's because the main ingredient is caffeine and the body will naturally build up a tolerance to caffeine. Any sort of "cleanse" or "detox" drink is total bullshite, simple as that.

none that I can think of. if I were to be taking a fat burner or something similar I'd imagine I could build up a tolerance to it.

tbh I haven't actually done a cleanse. only done that year off and just started doing this kombucha tea. I've only talked to other guys that have done the real deal cleanse and heard about the results they saw.

gotcha. how does it get rid of the tolerance to the caffeine if it doesn't cleanse it away?

also what about the no gluten and juicing diet that cleans your system out and makes you feel so much better? if that isn't cleansing or detoxing what is it?

It doesn't. Google placebo effect. That's all it is

People that go on a gluten free diet might feel better because they are replacing gluten foods with fruits and vegetables.

People that do a juicing diet might feel better because they are getting an influx of vitamins and minerals they were not getting anymore.

Mostly it is a placebo effect though.

Show me some science about toxins and detox. Bet you can't find a single reputable source.

I ask for a link and you ask me another question

but here's something I found on my own LINK
quote:

Detoxification (detox) diets are popular, but there is little evidence that they eliminate toxins from your body.

Specific detox diets vary — but typically a period of fasting is followed by a strict diet of raw vegetables, fruit and fruit juices, and water. In addition, some detox diets advocate using herbs and other supplements along with colon cleansing (enemas) to empty the intestines.

Some people report feeling more focused and energetic during and after detox diets. However, there's little evidence that detox diets actually remove toxins from the body.

little evidence does not mean they 100% do not work
