From New Orleans and moved here for work a couple months ago and I can second a few recommendations.

Fat Head's Saloon is just about as good as you can get for bar food and sandwiches.

Butcher and The Rye and also Grit and Grace were both very good nicer meals.

What happened to the Naked Grape? I loved the food there.

I just moved here from New Orleans a couple weeks ago. I am living in Lawrenceville. I have not tried much yet but Slim Man sandwich in Strip District, Coca Cafe, and picking up frozen stuff from Penn Macaroni Company have all been very good.

On another note, there is apparently a LSU group in town. LINK

Primanti Bros or whatever is the worst sandwich I've ever had in my life.

I too found it to be the most overrated sandwich I've ever had. It's not bad, I just don't see what's so special about it.

Was in shadyside last night. Steel cactus has good tacos

Roland's seafood in the strip district has a good lobster roll

I've definitely heard mixed reviews on Primanti brothers.

I didn't care for the slaw on their signature sandwich.

Like Fatheads much better for sandwiches.
