This time it's Nancys. I passed by there last week and they were jam packed and jelly tight in there. Passed today and the sign says "Closed For Rent". They always had a full parking, I'm not sure what the story is this time.

Nancys, Twin Peaks, Lions Share, Samuri Dragon, Sarahs and I'm sure I've failed to list a few. Houma loves some chain restaurants.

Damn I had some fond memories going to Samuri Dragon. And Lion's Share, while nothing special and not particularly good, is older than I am.

The price of oil needs to go up pronto. It's hurting everybody down there.

The Lion's Share closing had nothing to do with a downturn in business. It had a 48 year run, and the next generation didn't want to operate the restaurant any longer. Article from the Daily Comet: LINK

A coworker just told me Nancy and her husband split. LaCasa across the street from Nancys will close, and Nancy is going to open it up as Nancys. Her husband is keeping the building that Nancys is currently in and will open it ad The Seafood Shack. I don't know how much truth is in that.

Odd that LaCasa is closing that location as well, they have a pretty good lunch crowd and that building served as the commissary. They cooked all the salsa, beans, and sauces there. I guess they will move that operation elsewhere. I don't care for LaCasa, other than Margaritas and Red Drinks.

This. She is looking to take the La Casa spot. Doug will do something in the current spot. She wrecked the place on the way out and took all the printer paper and silverware.

Yes, thats the place. They have some good food.

Don't you have a camp in Dulac?
You ever eat at Schmoopies? That's a good little joint right there. Thats where we go when we want to take a long lunch.

Just important. They opened the next day and couldn't print tickets.
