I don't believe Yeezy was referring to Parish not having a distributor. He was saying that Trillium didn't have a distributor, so that is why they were able to expand more rapidly than Parish. They had more working capital because they didn't have to share $$$ with a distributor. They also didn't have a distributor telling them that they needed to brew more Canebrake. Trillium brewed a shite ton of fancy beers and sold them direct at fancy prices.
well i believe that. but that isnt how his post was read.

Hell you have to have a contract with a distributor before you can ever get a brewery permit.

Not sure that is true. Several don't distribute.

So, your stance is you cannot be a brewery without a dustributor.

We can go down this road again.

No doubt. Just pointing out there is more than one 'brewery' permit.

Think Royal distributes. Gordon Biersch doesn't though. Or the one in the FQ. Not sure what happens at BJ Brewhouse now.

We’re going to make a product that’s even more toward the lighter end of the spectrum. It’s called just “Parish” and it’s a pilsner or a lager.

sure if you want to be dick. the post i was commenting on wasnt clear about Andrew and "doing it without and distributor". Which i said wasnt true he had to have one. In LA a brewery (since we are talking about parish assumes we are talking about a manufacturing permit) requires exactly what i said. the other 2 permits are brewpub which are essentially restaurants. so are they breweries, sure. but really they are restaurants that can make and server there own fermented beverages, one of which can serve food.

was this ever a question?

We can continue to talk technical if you would like.

You were the one bitching about bad info on this board, while giving bad info.

Then correcting me that I was wrong after I stated that plenty of breweries in the state exist without distribution.

Little does he know my pride in being a dick.

I really didn't think I was doing so with my initial replies.
