Anyone know if this place will be non-smoking like Oak?

I was wondering that same thing. I wouldn't be surprised if it were cigar friendly. That's about the only thing missing from their stereotypical depiction of masculinity

Never been there sober enough to care

Nah, that's for the gays. That's what I learned on TD last week.

It's not a spectacular tap line-up, but I'd be content drinking some of those beers. Would be nice if they had one or two rotating taps for beer geeks that weren't Abita/Sam Adams seasonals like most places.

I doubt smoking will be allowed.

I complain because I'm disappointed. I could drink an Envie or I think I see a Stone Go-To tap and be okay with that.

Yeah. Heck, just throw some Endeavour on there and that would help.

Also, Sapporo on draft? Who orders that?

I was just thinking that sadly, that looks like one of the better options.

Interested to see how they price their pints in relation to how other places with similar bland tap selections do. Maybe they'll have an extensive whiskey selection a la Ave Pub or Barrel Proof or even Rusty Nail. If not I'm not sure what the draw will be save having a different bar option for people who live close by.

But that's probably about par for the course in this hood.

Obviously. I'm speaking from the perspective of somebody who would have to drive 15-20 minutes to go drink at this place. And my conclusion based off of initial information is it's not something worth driving across town for. Sure it'll be a welcome neighborhood bar, especially if non-smoking.

It's out of my comfort zone so I won't be going there much unless it's to eat.

It'll be interesting to see which direction and clientele they market towards. After reading the article, it sounds like it would be better geared to be a cigar bar/humidor bar. It certainly doesn't look to be a strictly a "beer bar", but they do have some serviceable tap selections. And, of course, they have the one beer that every bar should have...
