I know its not cool to like Albertson's and I'm not a big fan usually however I bought an overstuffed plastic container of their medium Guac for $5. It is unbelievably good. Perfect balance of heat and lime acidity. I usually make my own but this is even better than mine I hate to say. Perhaps I lucked out with a really good batch someone made but I'm going back for more. I'll give feedback if it's not as good or average.

Does anyone else have any feedback or experience on this? Very interested.

Nope. I get it all the time. It's consistently good.

FYI: if you ask for a scoop of guac at Izzo's, it is also $5.

Albertson's 7 layer bean dip is legit too.

The guac looks like it's purée which is why I have never got it

Hmm. Didn't know about PSA police.

I got the plain guacamole this time. No heat like the 'medium' one earlier. Also fantastic but I like a little heat so I'll get med next time. Great guacamole no matter the price.

I also make my own and for a long time used the powder stuff until I went to southern Mexico and watched them make it with fresh ingredients. WOW

Let just say I won't ever use the powder stuff again.

Got some Albertson's guacamole and their pico de gallo one school night when I was in a pinch with the wife out of town and hungry kids to feed. I was pleasantly surprised by both. I like to make my own, but I'm not above buying that if I don't have time to chop or mix up ingredients, because both are better than I expected.

I live in Idaho so I don't have a Kroger around anymore, but the Albertsons up here makes their guacamole chunky.

It's very good. I don't have a Albertsons near my house anymore so I kinda forgot about it.

I have gotten guacamole and salsa/pico de gallo at Fred Meyer (owned by Kroger), and been happy with it. I usually make my own guac, but will pick it up occasionally. The guac from the fresh market type places is extremely expensive, and Fred Meyer is more reasonable.

I'm pretty sure they make a 1-2 ratio of fresh avacado to cheap filler green crap. The flavor is decent if you aren't use to the real fresh stuff.
