They're better in some places, unserviceable in others.
There are none in New Orleans that I know of. The ones in Baton Rouge have declined quickly in the last decade.

I finally tried reverse sear last week ( prime NY Strip was on sale for $7.99/lb at HEB) and it came out pretty amazing. Definitely the best method I've used to cook a steak.
