I agree bought some this year for the first time after everyone raving about it and it's not good.

I had some cans Saturday and I didn't notice any difference. Still delicious.

I think I remember hearing that it gets better as the season goes on. Something about using frozen strawberries from the previous year at the beginning. I could be wrong.

p.s. they harvested the strawberries early before they were ripe so it's not as sweet this year.
