I had never heard of it until last night. Albertson's had it on sale for 5.99 a bag. I was tempted to try some, but I thought I would ask the baws of the OT before diving into an unknown cup of coffee.

Things I noticed...

Pros: The bag claims the company has been in the coffee business since the late 1800s. The artwork was alluring.

Cons: It was close to the Starbucks and Folger's crap.

Bought some in Orange Beach one year for the house we were renting... it was alright. Certainly better than Folger's, but not going to rock your world.

The Mcdonalds dark roast and the Breakfast blend are two of the better Arabica bean coffees i have ever smelled/drank from grocery store coffee brands

Are you being serious? I don't detect any sarcasm...

Community Coffee's normal prices range from 6.49-8.99 a bag...for a comparison.

It's fine, I can tolerate it over most mass produced store bought stuff.

I cannot imagine that I would ever buy McDonald's coffee. I simply don't think I could pull the trigger.

My grandfather used to buy 8 O'clock coffee all the time from A&P when I was kid. They would grind the beans fresh at the store. It was always good coffee as I remember.

8 O'Clock has rated very highly in taste testing in consumer reports for years. Is my go to, unless I find deals on Gevalia.

When Community goes on sale, we stock up. I'm pretty sure the sale price is better than that 5.99 and it's good, good.

My grandfather was a big fan of 8 O'Clock coffee. This post brings back some good memories.
