Need some recs... I have never been before, I know crazy.

We usually hit up Gulf Shores / Orange Beach.

We all have children between 6 months and 6 years old and probably 8 to 10 of them.

Staying at Sandestin.

Usually eat at the condo for lunch based around the beach and the pools all day.

Dinner is usually when we go out.

TIA

I really liked the Shrimp Shack in Seaside. You order at a counter and then go find a seat, so its fairly quick. They have an outdoor dining patio up on the dune and you can look out onto the water. The kids can have plenty of room to go run around on the beach and you can maybe sit back and enjoy a beer or three. Get a few pounds of their Royal Reds to enjoy, skip the lobster roll.

I really like the Red Bar as well, but we tend to go there for lunch as the menu (and I imagine the scene) is a bit more kid friendly at lunch. The dinner menu is sort of boring, but love that place at lunch. It reminds me of this spot I used to frequent on Tortola that was a weird French soccer pub, where everyone pretended not to speak English.

Mine is 21 months and Shrimp Shack was pretty good for her. She just ran along the deck most of the time. It was early when we went (around 515) so not crowded.

There's a Chick Fil A in Destin directly across from the Silver Dunes and what used to be the round Holiday Inn next door to one of the Alvin's Islands. I'm not kidding... I HAVE to go there at least once for the youngest. But I know that's not what you mean.

I wouldnt want to be anywhere near yall, no disrespect. So u need a table for 16-18? Tall task down there.

I would NOT go to 30A.
Stay in Destin/Sandestin.

Yikes. Like Boss said I wouldn't do 30A. I would just go to Baytown Wharf. Several restaurants to choose from, plus lots of stuff for the kids to do. Last time I was there I darted into Acme for a quick 3 dozen oysters and ended up sitting at the bar knocking back oysters and Coronas w/ Emeril Lagasse. True story

After more and more research, we will probably end up staying at Sandestin except for one night and head to the Boardwalk.

I'll second red bar

Also we have taken our kids many times at cafe thirty A. Go early and you can also get the 2 for 1 entree special.

Eta: depends on how well your kids typically behave

+1 for stinky's.

Louis Louis.

In sandestin cantina Laredo is a chain, but it's not bad and the margaritas are great. Flemings has a great happy hour at the bar but that won't help you.

Avoid all the casual restaurants in Baytown warf except hartel's diner. Oh there's an acme in there too.

what you need is the number for dominoes and a teenage babysitter to leave with the kids watching Frozen or Lego Movie. then enjoy your evening out for a couple hours after herding that many kids all day at the beach.
