ETA I think I just expected something a little more like the upstairs of Baru, the Crudo area. I really enjoyed that. I need to make my way back over there.

Good luck. When I went in December I sat down at a table upstairs and after perusing their crudo menu getting ready to order I was told that "Sorry that menu isn't available. We'll probably bring it back in the Spring time." Pretty disappointing. Ordered off the regular Baru menu instead since that was the only option, and everything was pretty tasty.

Not sure why they weren't serving the menu of the supposed place I was dining. Maybe me being the sole table there at 7pm was a sign.

Yikes. That doesn't bode well. I really enjoyed it and thought it was a fantastic value. I hope it does come back.

I dont particularly recall saying that although I may have. I saw a previous version of the menu but it wasnt very fleshed out and a lot of newer things are on the current menu. They've billed it from the beginning as a more masculine version of La Petite and focused on the bar, seafood, and some different style dishes than their flagship. In some ways, it mirrors other bar/lounges that have opened in other years, but I think there will be greater emphasis on food and service than the typical small plates place.

If I still worked downtown this place would be in my regular rotation. Will be interesting to see the garde manger portion of the menu grow and evolve. That is a fertile playground.
