Anyone here ever done it? Not looking to lose a lot of weight, but supposedly it is a cleanse for your metabolism.

Seriously, what does "cleanse for your metabolism" mean? What a meaningless, sciencey-sounding phrase.

Details? How much are you hoping to lose?

I am aiming to lose around 12 pounds in 17 days.
Looks like the average for first 17 days is 5-10% of body weight.

it confuses and boosts your metabolism to help you burn fat rapidly during these four 17-day cycles:
ACCELERATE: The rapid weight loss cycle. You’ll flush sugar and fat from your system and introduce foods and nutrients into your diet that have been proven to trim belly fat, thigh fat, and other stubborn fat zones.
ACTIVATE: The metabolic boost cycle. You’ll alternate between low- and high-calorie days and watch the fat melt away.
ACHIEVE: The steady weight loss cycle. You’ll learn to control portions properly and start the exciting (and quick!) 17 Minute Spot Reduction Workout.
ARRIVE: The efficient control cycle. You’ll be firmly in the habit of healthy eating to support your goal. On weekends, you can even enjoy your favorite foods!

That's the biggest load of crap I've ever read
How does one confuse your metabolism? By asking it brain teasers?
The only way to lose weight is to expend more calories that you consume.

No such thing as spot reduction.

It comes with a copy of Dianetics and a signed Tom Cruise picture.
Just poking fun. I know nothing of this.

It works and it's easy! I lost 30 lbs right after it came out. I think that was in 2011. I've gained some of it back, but in different places.
One thing I continue to do is eat the yogurt/ cottage cheese and fruit (2 fruits before 2pm) everyday. I try to stick to the diet during the week and take a break on the weekend. I'm just a lot busier now than I was in 2011.
Google for turkey meatloaf and stuffed bell peppers with ground turkey. I just cut the peppers into "rings" with the ground turkey mixture and then brown in skillet w/ EVOO and put in the oven for 20 minutes at 350*. Very good.
If you get the book, the egg whites recipe is good also. I didn't care for the chicken soup though.

Do you prefer turkey meatloaf to beef? Turkey is not any better for you. It is cheaper but that is about it.

Ground turkey is definitely better for you over ground beef.
My family just finished cycle 1 a week ago and all 4 of them lost between 7-10% body weight and all feel great.
None of the people in my family are "overweight." I'm 6-1 and 195, so losing 12 would be perfect. I run fairly regularly and play sports, so not worried about the exercise piece.
We have a lot of happy hours and dinners for work. Gonna be tough not to have a beer or two

Not necessarily....it entirely depends on the fat/lean ratio of the beef & turkey being compared. Lean beef will have fewer calories than fatty turkey, and so on. See Dr. Gourmet's website for a comparison: LINK
Dr. Gourmet is Timothy Harlan, MD, professor @ Tulane Med & exec director of TU's Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine....not a random, inadequately credentialed internet source. His website is full of solid nutritional information, esp if you are a cardiac patient or diabetic.

Wanna lose weight AND feel better?
Eat a third of your calories from healthy fats, a third from lean meats, a third from complex slow digesting carbs. Get over 25 grams of fiber a day.
And the most important part for weight loss, eat less calories than you burn.
The diet does make me feel better than eating crap.
