New Iberia is nowhere near the spillway is it? I think unless Bayou Teche floods, New Iberia will be fine.

I just wanted to say those are really good pictures. I used to live in Berwick but now I live in Stephensville and because of the North wind that's been blowing for the past few days it looks like the water has come down a bit. My boat lift was submerged by the water but now you can see parts of it so it looks like it's going down a bit for now.

Also, I don't think you have to worry very much about New Iberia flooding unless the water comes from somewhere else.

I grew up in Franklin so I know where Berwick is.

I am hoping the best for everyone there.

Took some new pictures after work today. The river is right at about 8' now. Took these with a Blackberry, so they're not as clear as the previous ones. A pretty big alligator has been hanging around on the dock, but he wasn't there today. The owner of the building in the last picture put a couple gator heads on the corner of the building to screw with people.

Thanks Wiggles

If you happen to be passing by the Calumet landing sometime soon, I wouldn't complain about seeing pics of it!

The Teche is "hydraulically separated" from the Basin. No new water in the Teche from this. If I am not mistaken, they pump all the water that is in the Teche out of the Atchaflaya at a station just north of Krotz Springs.

Thanks!!

That's where I put in for duck hunting. It will be interesting to see what all this water will do to Wax Lake WMA...

I was wondering about that. Will it add more land, or will it erode it because it is coming out so fast?

We should be fine on this side of the river. As for Morgan City, hopefully they won't get too much backflow.
