Well we have been getting rain for about a week now starting Thursday afternoon. All of our lakes usually used to help with flooding are full. The rain is supposed to end by Sunday. The level at Bull Shoals Lake is 696.06, Table Rock Lake is 934. Top flood elevation is 695 and 931, as you can see they are full. All dam gates are now open. The COE has been reluctant to open them for fear of sending more water down south, but they have no choice now. Not too sure what the latest predictions on the cresting waters there will be.

I had this discussion with my dad yesterday. He lives in Cotter. Bull Shoals is discharging 55kcfs. The White River has 4 lakes dumping into it. It dumps into the Mississippi. Looks to me like the White River alone has as much water as we are diverting through the Morganza Spillway. Could be a long period of high water.

We are on vacation at Greers ferry lake and there is no shore to be seen. Water level is halfway up the trees all around the lake. Heard a rumor that it is 22 feet above average height. Locals said last Sunday they had 8 inches of rain in the three days prior.

I just checked and there is 8" of air space under the Ponca low water bridge on the upper Buffalo. That's a contrast.
