as a general rule we don't mention free espn public leagues when talking about the leagues we've played in and how we've placed in them.
well beings they were two 12 man $100 leagues i guess i can mention them. I dont play in but one league under $100 and its a league off of here. i have two $100 and one $500 league.
like i said.. drafting 11th in one league i took calvin then marshall.. and in the third took dt88.. won league with ease.
in the other $100 league drafting at 3 i took calvin then took aj green and then cobb... the cobb injury hurt but i had keenan allen as a free agent to fill that hole.
what i was saying is in ppr, you do not have to get a rb first

Lynch has averaged 300 carries over the last 3 years. PLus they have 2 young RBs they like in Turbin and Michael. I think they slow the throttle on Lynch a little. RBs prove to wear out after that much pounding.
This. I will not be drafting lynch in first round

The only answer is Forte or Calvin Johnson.
QB is out of the question because if you must draft one of the top 5 guys, you're in a picking position to get him the second. Get your stud first.

If passing touchdowns are worth 6 points, it's more than justifiable to take him high in the first. The same can be said of Brees and Rodgers.
THIS! I don't understand why people are so hard-headed about this either. RB in the first is not what it used to be.
Now if Passing TD's are only worth 4, it's a different ballgame...

Was really shocked that Forte was 91 on the nfl top 100 list...thought was would a been a top 20 guy

Id definitely go Forte

He's one of the most consistently underrated/not talked about players year in and year out. Not sure how he was rated in the 90's.

Giovani Bernard on the turn, and he makes a solid #1 this year IMO.
I think of Bernard more as a RB2. He will be splitting carries as they are gonna work in Hill to take Law Firms spot next year because he is due big money. Law Firm will obviously also get carries as they are likely gonna want to trade him.

Law Firm gets cut during training camp

Only carries I'd be worried about Hill taking are redzone carries. I don't see him stealing very many touches from Gio. At least not this year.

That's what everyone said his freshman year at LSU as well.

I don't see it. I think they will keep him 1 more year to break Hill in and for injury purposes.

We have a draft for draft picks based on last years finish. I finished 4th and I am going with the 4 spot worst case scenario, im thinking there may be a slim chance either AP, Charles or McCoy slip and i not im either going Mega or Forte.

Cincinnati drafting Jeremy Hill may indicate Law Firm is as good as gone. From the sounds of it, Cinci will not be making any type of decision until preseason is underway due to uncertainty of injuries at the position. At this point, though, Green-Ellis is the odd-man out. Don't be surprised if he just gets cut.
Anyway, Gio Bernard is a very, very solid No. 2 on your fantasy roster. He had 56 catches last season, most of them coming out of the backfield. This season, the Bengals envision using him in the slot, at times, which makes him viable for a pretty strong season in PPR leagues especially.
I wouldn't worry too much about Hill taking carries. Gio is in line to have a great season with the way the Bengals envision using him out of the backfield and in the slot.

so Gio is a Brian Westbrook-esque player? Nice

but does Gio really pass the eyeball test?
he doesn't seem special to me as a player
watch "HighLights"
it's more about the O-line, to me he seems slow and indecisive and has very little wiggle for as much as he pretends to have moves.
the stats don't lie though and 50+ catches as a rookie in a time share is wonderful....so I'm conflicted as to how to value Gio. Since he doesn't seem special, will it be that much easier for Hill to take away from his role....ala Steve Slaton/Arian Foster?

lets wait until preseason before we start calling Hill Arian Foster

Yeah, next year when he is due big money. Not this year.

The Bengals website said that Law Firm is "involved in a very tough numbers game" with Bernard, Hill, and Peerman as the only locks to make the roster. Green-Ellis and Burkhead look like they will be battling for that last spot and it will not be decided until preseason is underway due to uncertainty of injuries at the position.
So, yes, it is possible.
