When do you look to buck the "trend"?

Let's say it's the first round, when do you start looking at a WR like Antonio Brown instead of RB? Maybe 6? So you're taking him instead of CJ Anderson...

If you are in a PPR league you could justify taking Brown at 1.

I'd almost rather get 2 Elite WRs and not go running back until your third pick unless you can get one of the three you mentioned

Just ran a few mocks with the WR/WR strategy, I've gotta say the teams are pretty good

I agree if you can get Brown and Dez/ Jones/ DT88 etc you are off to a good start especially in PPR. I did this and ended up with Lamar Miller in the 3rd, and Ellington in the 4th.

If you're drafting anywhere past 7 it's a safe bet to take a WR, but that's not really bucking a trend. Personally I'm going Dez because Dallas has no running game and tons of pass protection.

In 1 ppr league, I took brown with pick 5, and got Forte in the 2nd. I don't think I was bucking the trend, just thought it was the right move at the time, and ended up happy with the team I drafted.

Honestly, I'd take Hill 6 and hope for an AJ Green in round 2.
