Turning point in your season
Posted by boonies on 11/12/12 at 3:15 pm00
What game, player performance, or trade was the turning point in your season (for better or worse)? Mine is the stat correction for Big Ben giving him the TD pass to Mendy. That stat correction took me from 1-4 to 2-3. Now I sit at 6-3 and will be 7-3 after this week with a decent shot at a bye week in the playoffs.

Drafting McFadden
Yep. I thought I was getting a steal when I drafted him late in the 2nd round.

Taking AP above McFadden in my draft and waiting to the 8th round for a QB and taking Matty Ice.
I had an incredible draft except for taking McCoy in the 5th overall.

Talking draft it's someone taking Phillip Rivers as their backup before I took a QB, forcing me to take Matty Ice in the 8th
In season I'll say it's Doug Martins 51, I needed every one of those points (well I won by 2...)
Now I'm about to be 6-4 and leading my division

trading for spiller and CJ2k at the price of Andre Brown and Andre Roberts helped alot!
Trading away stafford/titus young 3 weeks ago for Romo/Sidney Rice/Jstew hasn't done me a damn bit of good and cost me a win which would put me at 5-5 and in the playoffs

Stafford>>>>>Romo (Staff just starts late every week)
Young>>Rice (At least since Burleson went down)

I was 2-4. Decided to beef up my keepers and chalk this season up as a loss.
Traded Hakeem Nicks, Doug Martin, Aaron Hernandez, and Kendall Wright
for
Jimmy Graham, Greg Jennings, and Alfred Morris.
Without starting Jennings or Morris (retaining rookie developmental status to keep for free), I will be 6-4 tomorrow morning.
I can start Morris here on out and hope to have Jennings back sometime in the playoffs.
Just lost Vick, but Rivers is nestled comfortably on my bench.

Regret it every day
I did it the day after stafford almost cost me a loss when I was up by 20 with stafford to play and my opponent had Chicago D. I didn't win till the last play of the game . Plus he had Seattle the following week. This was before Titus got his shite together. I thought losing nasty Nate was the nail in the coffin since he was his safety valve because pettigrew sucks balls.
frick that dude.

Jordy Nelson and AP finding their stride while starting Luck instead of Rivers. I went from 1-3-1 to now 5-4-1(lost last week because both DMC and Brown went down after one point)

I'm currently 5-5 and it's all my fault. Between DeMarco Murray being hurt and only having Arian Foster as a good running back and Tony Romo sucking I've been screwed the last couple weeks. My team completely crapped the bed this week.

Doug Martin's emergence.... I was sitting at 0-6 and now at 3-7, with 1 more week left. If I can win this week and another guy lose I will claim the final playoff spot.
The odd thing is that I started 0-6 with this starting line-up.
QB - A. Rodgers
RB1 - D. Martin
RB2 - Chris Johnson
RB/WR - R. Bush or D. Bowe
WR1 - E. Decker
WR2 - A. Johnson
TE - S. Chandler
D/ST - DA BEARS
K - Gostkowski
Luckily they have started to turn it on recently, but it may be too late. Although my record is crappy, no one in my league wants me to squeeze into the playoffs.

Drafting Mcfadden and Newton.

Drafting McFadden hasn't buried me yet but if he doesnt put up what you would expect out of a 2nd rd pick here soon, that will definitely be my undoing.
I was also 1 pick away from drafting RG3 which would have made my team so much better (Vick is QB).
