Eagles fear broken collarbone for Nick Foles
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, it "sure sounds like broken collarbone for Nick Foles the way Eagles were talking."
Foles suffered the injury when taken to the turf on a sack by Texans OLB Whitney Mercilus. The damage is on his left (non-throwing) side, but a fracture would mean an extended period of Mark Sanchez as the Eagles starter. Sanchez was 15-of-22 for 202 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in just three quarters of work Sunday, leading the Eagles to a 31-21 road win. He'd have high-end QB2 appeal as the operator of this fastbreak Chip Kelly scheme.

I just hope it doesn't hurt Maclin's value. Come back soon Foles!

With a broken collarbone, Foles would probably be out 6 weeks minimum (surgery within a week, heal for 3-4 weeks, rehab 2 weeks). Safe to drop? If it's a fracture, 2-4 weeks?

I have Foles in one league to play behind Luck - for Luck's bye week. Next week.

This late in the season I would drop him, If, and big if he comes back he won't be 100% week 15 or 16

Should I pick up Sanchez for Luck's bye next week? They are playing the Panthers.

I picked up Tannehill last week, but they are playing the Lions.

Yeah... Time to get on the QB carousel.

Tannehill
Sanchez
Palmer
are all available. The dude that was carrying finally let go of Palmer after all his RBs got injured the past two weeks

A Comcast Philadelphia source confirms that Nick Foles suffered a broken collarbone in Sunday's Week 9 win at Houston. Foles suffered the fracture to his left clavicle when he was sacked by Texans OLB Whitney Mercilus. A Monday MRI will determine exactly how long he'll be out, but owners should be preparing for a 4-6 week timetable in a best-case scenario. Note that Aaron Rodgers missed eight weeks with a seemingly similar injury last year. It leaves Mark Sanchez at the controls of this highly effective, fastbreak Chip Kelly scheme. Sanchez, who threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns in three quarters Sunday, is a must-add for anyone who needs quarterback help.
