PPR or Standard.

Standard I'd hate him as an RB2. PPR It'd be a little more digestible, but ideally i'd like him to be my 3rd or possibly 4th RB. I just think Crowell is going to eat into too many early down and GL carries to fully trust him as a starter in my lineup. Especially in a standard league.

As an RB2? Hell no.

As an RB4/5, sure, maybe.

ETA: for PPR, change RB4/5 to RB3/4

A. We don't need multiple threads on individual players

B. Don't you roll your eyes at me

Yeah, he's a fringe RB3 going into the season in PPR.

It's not really a big deal. These threads flare up and die off quickly. It doesn't cause that much of a board traffic clog.

What causes the most confusion on this board are people not posting their league type (standard/ppr), their scoring info (Ex. 4 or 6 points for QB TDs), how many teams in the league, full rosters when asking about trades, etc.

I think he's a guy I wouldn't mind having on my team as a flex option (PPR)

duke was killing it in PPR until johnny frickup took over. If I'm stout at WR, I'm cool with duke as a low end RB2

I agree. I have pegged for about 120/460/2 Rushing and 65-70/550-600/3 receiving. That would put him in the 15-20 range if I had to guess going forward and using last years final ppr leaders. Which comes out to about 11-12 points per week. You could do worse at your Flex position.

I think RGIII hurts his value and he would be better with McCown. Duke will have more room to run because of RGIII, but this helps Crowell more than Duke. I think Duke will not get the passes he should because RGIII is not as much of a check down guy. Dual threat QB's typically look to run when plays break down and not check down to RB's. Similar to when Manziel played last year. RGIII did give 42 targets to Helu in '13, but Duke had 72 targets last year mostly from McCown.

Hopefully Duke will be a focus of Hue's offense and that will make up for playing with RGIII.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect Gio Bernard numbers from Duke(possibly not as many rushes however). I would also hope RG3 wouldn't be as careless with his running like Manziel, especially given his injury history. Hopefully he's learned his lesson.

I have Duke, I just think you are going to be disappointed if you are expecting 60 receptions again. He is a great receiver, but this year there is more talent and a QB not as willing to check down. I think his receptions will be in the 40's.

I don't think RGIII will be careless with running (he will slide and toss out of bounds), but when pressure comes he is still going to break out the pocket and look to run or go downfield whereas McCown used to check down to Duke as soon as protection faltered.

Again, I hope that Hue schemes for Duke with a lot of called screens and short passes even some out of the slot as well as gets him involved more effectively running the ball.
