Well the point remains the same - rewarding a team for having good players. That $1 sleeper, that FA add.. Let the success of ones team truly lie on the skill of the owner. Instead of getting nothing for those 20 point bench burgers, you now get the points
I think FF needs to evolve with the game. It's an offensive centric era, afterall. Things need to be explored
- should QBs really be so heavily rewarded now (made sense in 2000). 15 QBs averaged 20 per game.. In a 12 or 14 team league, every team realistically could have one. How do you balance them?
- Do you need 2 RB and 2 WR? There are 12 200 point RB, 26 200 point WRs, Maybe more offensive flexibility will benefit - do you need 1 RB spot and an extra flex?
- energence of TEs not named Gronk and Graham. The barnidges, reeds, eifert, Kelce etc. More TEs than ever putting up WR numbers
Just seems we are playing an archaic game. 15 years ago, only the elite QBs would score like crazy.... RBs dominated the game.. WR weren't coveted as much.. And TE had 1-3 top tier guys as recent as 5 years ago
It'll have to change eventually if you want to foster a more intellectual game and strategy (some don't want this FF, which is understandable). This is just a call to be proactive. Everyone is still on the same playing field

I was being serious with my QB flex option FWIW.

Would rather go 2QB league over an all-offense flex, but I guess it does not matter.

Maybe make a note in the OP about voting once we fill the league on who gets TD on kick and punt return and adding a extra flex while keeping the K and D

exactly, they are irrelevant 4 teams out of 24 decided to spend more than $1 at auction on a K or DEF last year (combined record 23-25, 1 playoff appearance). There was also a combined 230 total transactions involving either a K or DEF in both leagues last year, almost 10 per team
They are treated as throwaways.

yea, they are crap shoots. I usually have decent ones but id rather just not deal with them and focus on actual players
