There are decent players available. It doesn't mean the value for draft picks are swaying the competition

Leagues where draft picks hold value like that aren't fun to me anymore. It takes almost zero skill to trade a pick and receive multiple player(s)

I err on the side of no over regulation. If people pull multiple stunts that we deem unacceptable then we need to evaluate them as an owner. It was one bad trade last year that really has you riled up. I don't ever remember the trades being THAT bad.

I'm not trying to over regulate either . Draft pick trades have been titling this league for awhile now, though. It's always discussed at the time and then everyone just forgets when it comes time to discuss or make possible changes

I honestly don't ever remember much of a discussion and other than the "bad" trade this year I can't point to any that won someone the league

I only play in 3 leagues, all on here. Well 2 now, I'm dropping Rw3r for the same reasons I may drop here

TDBL and rw3r are both tainted by draft pick trading, they are essentially cartoon versions of fantasy baseball leagues with the unrealistic value draft picks hold

Of course I enjoy the dynasty league the most, I believe there is true skill and roster management involved

I don't have an answer for you other than what I proposed yesterday. Squash the pick trading or come up w a way to regulate it

And understand this isn't for personal gain. I was two game so out of last place, I just want to see a fair shake and the best managed team win

Someone is going to tell me, well, "it's their picks and team they can do what they want!". Then I'd tell you, from a competition standpoint down the stretch, the guy getting 2 All Stars for a 3rd RD pick (which is pretty fricking worthless, let's be honest) is coming out way ahead, and it's not really in the spirit of seeing who can build the best team.

I bet you were with Her....I'll translate the above for you: "Waaah" to be followed up further along in this thread with "Well gents, I quit".

I like this suggestion from MWG in DAT as a possible solution for dumbassery.

quote:

Tiered drafting: *Rounds 1-2 Can only trade one of these picks *Rounds 3-4 Can only trade one of these picks *Rounds 5-7 Can trade two of these *Rounds 8-15 Can trade as many as you'd like

By limiting markets because you disagree with the choices of other free individuals? That's the ideology of the people who were with her.

What is "unfair" about people valuing their players and picks as they choose? Seriously wtf?
