Giraffe, I'm gonna need to think about that offer. The player involved doesn't interest me at all going forward, but the pick might in line with the value of what you want.

I just need to decide if that's really the route I want to go.

Yeah i know. I need to decide if i want to let him go for a pick or not.

My goal was to acquire another keeper not a pick, but I may have to change my strategy based on your offer and others I have been receiving the last couple of days.

Not really. I don't have anyone to take his spot on my keeper list if I deal him.

I could have earlier this morning, but now I am about to treat myself to an afternoon cocktail with the boss.

I'm pretty convinced that the only way I can get a keeper without trading one of my Big 4 is to wait until the season is over and trade a pick for one.

So, unless you wanna trade me a keeper for Ginobili and other random pieces off my team (Diaw, Dudley), I doubt we are gonna get anywhere in trade talks.

i don't think ginobili is worth a keeper at this point.

you wouldn't consider the guy i pitched yesterday?

No argument here. My hope was that Ginobili and other scrub on my team would catch fire and possibly land me a potential keeper before the deadline. There's still time, but it's not likely. I recognize that.

I'm willing to keep the guy you offered me yesterday, but not in exchange for any of my four definite keepers.

The contenders have the upper hand in negotiations DURING the season, no doubt.

I feel like the roles are reversed during the offseason, and the ones with the extra picks have the upper hand.

It all evens out, imo.

i guess my question to you as why it's so imperative for you to be going into the offseason with set keepers considering all the picks you have.

toula got gortat with a 4th this year.

Well, I'm never going to trade a player that I'm not looking to trade for someone that doesn't make my team better. That's just common sense.

Theoretically, all of my players are attainable for the right offer. But realistically, you and I both know you aren't going to offer me a deal that makes both teams better.
