Your biggest concern is seems to be uncompetitive teams & shitty matchups.

Imo there are only a few options here...

1. Consolation bracket. Would never keep me from selling out but if everyone thinks it will help then let's put it to a vote.

2. Limit # of pick trades. Hard cap of 5 would be a good starting point. Still allows sellers to get some value and build for next year without people going crazy like I did last year.

3. No draft pick trades before XX-XX-XXXX date. Keep teams from selling out in December or when I threw in the to yr last year.

Now we are talking. I don't think these are drastic . Nothing dramatically changes except for those of us who will probably suck this year won't be as bad as your team was last year.

I am going to put the consolation winner / draft order proposal up for vote.

I am also putting a 7th playoff team proposal out there that gives a first round bye for the top seed. I don't think adding 1 playoff team is a bad idea.

For now it doen't seem like we are getting anywhere on reducing the keeper number or lowering the amount of draft pick trades. Maybe we can just start with these proposals and better document concerns for everything else as we play this year out.

ETA: We need to fill Rick's spot first. Boom or KillbornJohnny. I know Boom. He's in TDFL. I don't know the other guy.

Yeah. The people arguing for change are the ones that would benefit the most from same old rules.

I guess my point is this is a $100 league. I don't think any of us are OT balla enough to simply throw away $100 each year. Nobody takes pride in selling out and throwing away $100. They do it with a plan to get better and compete the next year.

I thing the ebbs and flow of the league from year to year is natural. I'm more risk averse so I'm liable to draft for the long term to have a semi competitive team year to year, as opposed to going balls to the wall for a title and maybe sucked the next year. But if someone wants to take that strategy that's their right IMO.

i'll vote for 1 and 3

of course 3 starts at this year's draft, so that we can still deal picks

Yeah, trading picks in the offseason should always be ok.

I've posted two polls:

Awarding draft slot by consolation bracket results

and

Adding a 7th playoff team with the top seed getting a bye in the first round.

1. Because the 2 day waiting period sucks.
2. The rules are set up to allow any owner to call for a vote of any trade made if he feels that it is bad for the league as a whole.
3. Fgt.

Vucevic
Lee
Rose
Marc Gasol
Thad Young

There are a bunch of other guys on his roster but I could see most of them not being drafted...much less kept.

Picks:
1,2,2,3,3,4,5,6,6,6

Still don't know why everyone is so mad about last year.

To kick someone out without warning is stupid. I never heard from the commish or anyone else that it was a problem. My team sucked. It would've lost 1-7 0-8 regardless. That's what happens when you sell your entire team for picks a month before the deadline. But nobody contacted me or complained to me until waaay after. When you guys complained. I said it wouldn't happen anymore. Let it go.

I played the system, I sold all my players for picks, and I fully intend to dominate this next year.

and I already moved to Germany. Greetings from Hamburg.

I know. I was referring to when you move again once the nightlife in Germany is no longer hippie enough for you.
