Much like clutch city, playoffs aren't the goal. There is only one champeen. No difference in a loser playoff team and last place imho

Tough trading. The teams that are selling, only want young players in return.
And most sellers only have 4-5 desirable players, so acquiring a elite stud will kill them.
I mean, in this league Bobby Covington and Irsan Ilyasova have equal value as Noah Vonleh.

Second place is the first goal it pays for the next(or previous) 2.5 years.
In any fantasy sports the first goal is to make your money back anything more than that is really nice.
