re: Tottenham Hotspur 2023/24 Season Long Thread: It’s Ange Ball, Mate

From unbeaten in 10 games to…
VDV out until 2024
Maddison out until 2024
Richy out one month
Udogie suspended 1 game
Romero suspended 3 games
The crazy part is we all knew the squad was lacking depth, but there are really only two positions that we don’t have any cover for at all. LCB a...

Sounds like they were looking for something clear and obvious to call it back. It looked obvious to me that the ball was moving at an angle towards his body and then hits his arm and drops straight down. The ball actually knocks his arm back lol. Glad that didn't come back to hurt us. All 3 points c...

Y'all are spot on about Skipp. I really want him to succeed at the club, but I just don't think his game thrives in this system. He isn't comfortable absorbing the press like Bissouma and Bentancur(when back)and doesn't offer as much positional flexibility as Sarr. Due to the inverted fullbacks Sarr...
This team has been a joy to watch so far.
Could not agree more. It's gonna take some time to build depth like you said, but I'm confident with Ange playing such a big role in having the final say with bringing guys in.
It's crazy to think that in the NLD Sunday we only started ...

Buckle up fellas...looks like we're an injury to Romero or VDV away from complete disaster. Davies is now the only cover for VDV and Udogie at LCB and LB and we saw over the weekend what happens when Sanchez plays in place of Romero and when Davies starts at LCB.
I can't wait to get some of thes...

So just to recap this summer...
We started with Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga, Romero,& Lenglet as CB options and we are going to end the window with Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga, Romero, & VDV as CB options.
We started with Kane & Richy as striker options and we are going to end with Richy & Veliz as s...

I agree on not having to watch Kane put on another EPL kit. I had gotten to a point where I would have preferred Kane to stay this year and leave on a free, but if he thinks the move to Bayern is best for his career and family then I wish him all the best. A lot has been said about Bundesliga titles...

I don't think it's going to happen, but I really think this squad desperately needs Tapsoba and VDV in this window. I think VDV could rotate at left back with Udogie and Tapsoba has the ability to provide cover for Romero.
Move Davinson, Tanganga, Perisic, & Rodon for whatever you can get.

Thanks for the heads up. That was a good listen. One consistent thing in everything that I have read and listened to is that we should expect a slow start. Fans need to get behind him and let him turn this club around. I don't really know how to define success at this point because the EPL has becom...

I'll give my take after reading some articles about his tactics and listening to a few interviews/podcasts with him.
Pros
- He won't compromise the style of football he wants his team to play. Spurs will have much more possession and his teams are very direct and fast at progressing th...

I agree with that regarding Nagelsmann. The thing that bothers me about it all is I’m watching all the teams that finished above us starting on their planning and recruitment for next season and we’re sitting here without a DoF or a manager. We really shouldn’t be making any decisions without those ...

Lol no and I have been meaning to post regarding the coaching situation.
Look I’m not saying Ange has the resume to support a move to Tottenham, but I feel like our fanbase has reached a new level of embarrassing. It’s one thing to speak out against Gattuso who had a bad history with Tottenham ...

I doubt it happens, but Nagelsmann makes a ton of sense. Brilliant young manager who plays attacking football and has proven success working with different levels of teams and structures. Played a back 3 at Leipzig and is capable of switching things up to 4 at the back when needed. Would be a move i...

Might be the unpopular opinion, but I’m glad Conte let it all out. The lack of ambition for Spurs starts all the way at the top and works its way down to the players. I don’t think Conte really thinks the players are lazy, but I don’t think he can publicly say that they aren’t good enough to play fo...
