That's what we're hoping for. I still have a couple cats that I can lose. Hopefully my guy Tommy gets the shutout then we can be all squared up.

Thom taking me behind the woodshed. He's either 1st or 2nd in 6 of the 8 cats so far this week.

I'd love to make excuses, but he's just skull dragging me.

Gonna need some of your strength and conditioning tips. My team is now nearly as old as yours.

His team has been relatively healthy all year I think they are about to hire the pels training staff for the stretch run here.

I agree it is pricey, but I'll at least attempt to explain my thinking.

I like Lavine better than Horford in dynasty so that brings me to Matthews and Gibson.

Matthews is the 2nd best player in that deal and still has value. He has been an iron man most of his career but I wanted to get younger and his 3's are the one area I won't have a problem replacing. Gibson has had a career year for the Bulls, but I think they are gearing up for a rebuild and he gets moved to a contender at the deadline.

I need to get lucky on Nurkic, but I think it is worth the risk. I would have pulled the trigger on Taj for Nurkic straight up so it really came down to Matthews in this deal.

Touls had to compensate for that poor Kwahi deal, makes sense for him. Matthews and Taj are just "guys" in a dynasty long term but they can be nice pieces towards a title.

Biyombo, Nurkic.. meh. Once had high hopes, they are trending towards fantasy fools gold though. At one point they wont be passed around in trades and just straight up dropped. Think John Henson, Cole Aldrich type... Just younger, higher hopes, shattered dreams.

Tbh, wasn't a no brainer on my side.

Lavine for Horford/Wes doesn't make me all giddy. But similar to me overpaying for James Johnson, these dudes were all gonna be shipped to a contender, might as well be me rather than the opposition.

Once the group chat convinced Thomas to trade Embiid for these peices PLUS, season would have been over.

Even if he continues to see a few minutes less than some of the other top centers in the league, Embiid's production will stack up just as nicely -- if not better -- than most of those players. Over his last 12 games, Embiid is averaging 23.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 three-pointers in 27.3 minutes per contest while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe.
