I'm going against the Louie T Integrity rule school of thought and throwing 3 SPs today even though I lead in WHIP and ERA. Almost said to hell with it and started Odorizzi too but I'll let Zimmerman and the Japs handle their business.

Why put the innings pitched minimum at 25? Why not make it say 35 or 40 since everyone has deep benches?

That is an interesting idea, really.

I don't mind the 25 though. I just like giving Louie credit for his integrity.

it was set so low because when we originally instituted the rule, there were some people that didnt want it at all. So we tried to find some common ground.

The one thing Ryan Braun needed to do this year in order to quiet the naysayers was to put up a typical Ryan Braun season. Well, it wouldn’t quiet all of the naysayers, because even if he passes every drug test for the rest of his life people will say that he’s using some new, undetectable PED because that’s how a lot of people like to think. We can agree, however, that if he puts up a sucky season that people will say “see, he was a PED creation!”

And they’ll say that even if he’s injured. Which, he seems to be. And it could be serious. His thumb is numb and it could result in surgery:

Same injury from last year. I just wish he would have had surgery on it.

Beginning of the season through first month or so has a lot of day games - nice, cool weather.
