Is he mediocre or is it the Texans' offense that's making him look average? I'm also concerned that his carries have gone down every week, but at least he's been averaging 100yds from scrimmage even with a smaller workload.

Texans offense is just struggling as a whole with Osweiler at the helm. I think(hope) things should get marginally better as the season goes along.

He's been getting the yardage I've expected out of him. He's avg like 100 yrds a game. If he starts getting a Td or 2 a game he'll be on schedule. Similar sentiments to ODBjr. His yardage is there for the most part, just hasn't been scoring the necessary TDs.

Makes them both good buy-low candidates.

i've watched every game. their oline is garbage and looks like he's running into a wall on every carry. he's definitely earning every yard.

Not the start I was hoping for, but i'm not kicking myself over it or trying to move him. He has had some solid games but needs to find the end zone - and if the Texans offense can keep the ball moving in the air hopefully things start to open up a bit more for him.

The usage is there (over 26 touches/game), but Houston's OL has looked like garbage. Lamar Miller has also had more than a couple catches negated by penalties. Things will pan out.

So he looks good, but their offense is shite? I'm not upset with the numbers he's putting up, but he needs to find the end zone.

Pretty much this. As stated, the usage is there.

You can't complain about a guy who gives you 10 pts per game.

Miller ain't the hottest girl at the dance but she puts out every night.

Not sure the answer to your question but some things to consider.

He's never averaged anywhere near this many carries per game. He will continue getting the bulk of the RB touches but is he sturdy enough to stay healthy?

The Texans are missing their best O-Lineman (LT), who I think (?) is expected to come back sometime soon.

O'Brien took over play calling duties last week and someone mentioned that Miller had more runs to the outside than in the earlier weeks. Consensus seems to be that he's been running between the tackles too often and they need to get him on the edges.

Fuller's emergence may keep the safeties back more often going forward.

Not to mention, its an offense with a new qb, new rb and #2 wr who is a rookie - give the offense some time to gel and hopefully miller is looking like a one of the top rb's by the end of the season (who is finding the endzone)

their schedule lightens up. Their division is terrible, at least let them get into those games before you close the book on him. He's 8th in NFL in yards from scimmage. TDs will come eventually
