I'd have to have a really good alternative.
One thing I would consider is splitting WHIP into BB/9 and Hits/9... would be worth looking into at least.
Or if possible (BB+HBP)/9. I never liked how hit batters aren't part of WHIP, when they are just as much the fault of the pitcher as a walk.

Or we could regulate the amount of starts a team gets each week
Each team gets 5 starts a week. The best staff truly wins. A team would have to strategize who they wanted to throw if. It also makes more pitchers relevant bc middle relievers who may not get holds come into play for cats except for QS

Let's not get crazy here. That would be a drastic change and people didn't build their teams thinking about only getting 5 starts a week.

Absolutely not.
This league is super tight on roster spots, dropping guys to stream is a liability. If some guy has wrecked ratios then you should start more guys to exploit your lead you have. I'll also say in this league you aren't getting a K/9 bump from a streamer, every starter with a k/9 over 8 is taken.
This is a total non-issue.

"The way teams built their staff" - does this include streaming in a strategy? Maybe I'm in the wrong league

Im not arguing with this, but changing this category benefits you more than most teams in this league based on how your pitching is built. Its low to want to change a rule because it benefits you.

You have no idea what someone tried to do. This can go back to our initial draft. Someone could have drafted a back of the rotation arm instead of a minor leaguer because IP was a categoey.

Daryl we changed rules this offseason, such as adding a Milb spot and adding DL spots. This is gonna benefit people in different ways
Why are we holding on to IP so much? We have 12 stat categories in this league and it's the only one that doesn't gauge positive value. It's been 3 years and no one still cannot explain why this is a good stat other than "it makes an even number"
frick. Obp & slg = ops. It makes too much damn sense to cut it to 10.
You can still stream for QS but at least it gauges quality. If you make the playoffs again you'll see that the worst pitching staff in the league can claim 1 category simply by winning IP. You talking in some cases all you need is a 6-6 tie to move on. 1 cat already stolen from you because someone wants to stream Josh Tomlin again. It's laughable

No one did this
Everyone had hopes of fielding the perfect team. They fall to that strategy when they realize their pitching sucks and they can steal a few categories
