Amazing what adding a bunch of innings pitched can do.

It really wasn't the IP as much as it was that you added Snell and Dyson (ton of SV) to your top 9 P (thats what I use to rank) and removed Doolittle and Delgado.

Swanson wasn't in your lineup anyway, so you lose nothing in the rankings by trading him.

RDR improved in offense by adding Swanson and removing Arcia, but lost in pitching by losing Snell and Dyson and adding Berrios and Folty. His staff is undervalued in this exercise because Thornburg still isn't in his top 9 P because Fantrax shits all over him with their idiotic projections.

T&P skyrocket with that deal. Up to #2 now, with a large lead over #3 OMT. The difference between MWG and T&P is now less than the difference between T&P and OMT.

Snell as a SP4 is pretty disgusting.

Their RP projections are especially bad.

ERA under 3.
K/9 over 10.
20+ QS

I don't think he will ever be a guy with great WHIP though.

Pretty high, he has some control issues I'm a little concerned about. He throws hard but not upper 90's to where it would be expected for him to struggle with command for a while. He's also 24, so I'd hope for he would have improved his command a bit more. Lucky for him , he strikes out a bunch of dudes and keeps the ball in the park, good combos for a guy who puts guys on base.

Just saw this

Chicago Cubs catcher/outfielder Kyle Schwarber (knee) has been cleared to join the catchers in drills in spring training camp. Schwarber is set to be the third catcher this season and might catch a game or two a week

That's where im going, he walked 5.2 per 9 in his short stint in tampa, but let's assume he gets it down to his MiLB avg of 4.4. You gotta be really fricking good to pitching around 4 BB/9. You're talking Ubaldo type erratic giving up that many walks

We've seen lefties like Gio and Liriano go up and down throughout their careers, now younger guys like Rodon and matt moore. Consistent control is a bitch

Dyson has the most positive impact of the trio this year

Like young'ins long term, but still have some hurdles

Home starts should be nice for Snell, tho

SP5. How soon we forget our boy Steven Wright hovered around 15-18th on the PR all last year.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see him doing that again this year, Touls. And I think you probably think that as well, or else you wouldn't have made the move for Snell.

You are asking a biased person.

When we do our bold predictions thread, I was going to include Porcello and say that he will finish top 3 in CY voting again this year.
