You're writing off Ball who's only 24 years of age, the same age as Anderson who hasn't even played a full season in the NFL yet.

This season will be great.

Montee Ball was doing well against top NFL defenses before he got hurt. Not to mention he came back not 100%. IMO, I don't think Anderson finishes the season as the Broncos starter, both him and Ball are 24 years old and Anderson doesn't even have a full season under his belt. I actually prefer drafting Ball late and cashing in on him than using a 1st on a unproven thing.

you also said this

and edited a post nearly a month after the fact to try and not look like a jackass

You are attempting a "I told you so" after Anderson has played two games injured. When in reality, you should be harping on this other stupid shite youve said, baw

No it was obvious before the draft. These last 2 games just reinforce the notion that he wasn't going to be a top 5 back

All I'm saying is that for me, I wasn't messing with him at all in this draft. If other people wanted to that's fine. But I personally thought he wasn't gonna do anything this year just like montee ball last year.

Maybe he turns it around. Maybe he doesn't. Doesn't effect me either way bc I knew I wasn't gonna touch him

I kept him in the 12th round... Had a bad feeling, so I traded him for Luck preseason.

and im in 5 leagues and he isn't on any of my teams.

But ive played FFB long enough to know not to write a guy off after 2 games that involved tough matchups as well as a foot injury. .

Which player was this last year after 4 games:

12 car 34 yards
13 for 43
11 for 36
17 for 48 1 TD

53 for 161, 1 TD 3.04 YPC

Probably Eddy Lacy. He started off slow AF last year, still finished as a top 5 back.

I'm gonna guess McCoy. Which further proves everyone's points. Denver's O-line doesn't appear capable of run blocking. Philly is gonna get its fair share of rushing yardage regardless of the RB

yea it was Lacy.

just cant write a guy off after 2 games, esp RBs with little to no competition in what should be a decent offense

The OL is still learning the new zone blocking scheme

i think the half way point of the season would be a good time to label a guy a bust or success

I agree.

Although we knew what the Lacy was capable of in that offense. Same scheme, same players, same line. His schedule was just absolutely brutal first 4 weeks last year.

I'm concerned about CJ, not due to talent, but due to new scheme, rookies along the O-line, and Manning in tDecline.

I get your point, but come on man... Its CJ Anderson here. The dude was undrafted for a reason. Comparing him to the NFL's elite isn't fair to anyone. We all had a bad feeling about CJ, and it appears we may have some validity now.

Cmon, let's not start believing that draft position matters for RBs

Talented RBs go undrafted or drafted late all the time.

His tape last year proved he can play. Like Touls said maybe the scheme or OL lets him down but it's not because he isn't talented.

Other than Foster, which was mindblowing. name another elite rb who was undrafted.
CJ isn't all that. He has talent, but not enough to weather the storm which is that offense right now.

Yet you won't give me the credit that so far I'm right when asked if Anderson was worth a high draft pick. The only prediction I made in the thread was Anderson would be a bust and I'll continue to hear excuses of why I'm "not entirely right" so far.

I also said that in Week 1 of the preseason. Obviously things changed in those three weeks which is why I draft after week 4. I made sure to buy into a late pick of Hillman in all my drafts

Chris ivory and Danny woodhead. You'd think these guys were the 2nd coming of Jim brown & Marshall Faulk by reading this board

Justin forsett last year, 7th RD pick

Lagarette Blount
Isaiah Crowell

All slated to be their teams #1 RB
