Shout out to my boy for getting me 3.9 points last night.
Bastard.

I still don't understand why people were taking him in the first or second round. Did you not see Montee Ball last year?

I got him in a keeper league for $1. I'd never spend a 1st or 2nd round price tag on him.

Super intelligent a fine young gentleman

Understandable. He went first and second round in my two leagues and most others.

I avoided him in snake drafts, but got him in an auction in the low $40's. Figured the risk was worth the $20 I was saving over the "elite" RB. Isn't working out terribly well thus far, but I'm a patient man. With that said, I think I'm going to patiently put him on my bench until things turn around

He will probably have a couple good games if he doesn't get passed up by Hillman on the depth chart. Either way it was obvious he wasn't worth a first round pick and isn't a top 5 Rb.

He hasn't looked encouraging, but they've played two great defenses to start the season, and one was a Thursday night game where offenses go to die. Train hasn't left the station yet, but Denver's kidding themselves if they want to try to be a "running team" while they have Peyton and a shitty O-line

If they go back to running Peyton's offense most of the time, CJ will be fine. He played on a short week, with a bum toe and ankle. Give him the extra days of rest and he'll come back fine.

Not to mention that whole offense looks like crap. If not for the defense they'd be 0-2
They are still grasping that new offense I think

He has no where to go but up,but he won't return value for his 1/2 round price tag.

Combine the fact that he has played 2 elite defenses and that he isn't getting the receiving targets he got last year.. I'm not worried YET

Hopefully you cuffed him
Exact same thing happened last year. Ball was over hyped, got hurt and then Hillman became a one-hit wonder and then he got hurt

I fell into this trap. I read all the "CJ is about as safe a pick as you can make!" hype . Thought he would be a great 10th overall choice. That the Montee Ball situation was an anomaly, and he was to blame. Now I just realize no Denver RB is a safe choice.
I'm still holding out hope though, the circumstances haven't exactly been forgiving for him. If he continues to disappoint, then I'm really putting all my luck into hoping Arian comes back strong.

Their offense was the same way last year. Struggled against good defenses the first few weeks
Circle that Sunday night game @ Detroit next week and let's see what happens

did you not see CJ Anderson last year when given the lion's share of the carries?
The situations aren't even comparable. Ball was a guy people were assuming was going to step right in and put up better numbers than Moreno had the year before. The only problem was he sucked.
CJ Anderson is a guy we've seen produce when that offense is clicking, but right now they aren't. I don't see it as an anderson issue, its a team issue. Last year Ball just sucked and other guys were more productive when given chances.

it was obvious he wasn't worth a first round pick
I'm glad he's not on my team, but I would have gladly (at the time) taken him in the late first round, if he fell to me.

I said this before drafts he's basically the Monte Ball of last year. And Hillman was putting up Anderson like numbers last year before he got hurt. Denver backfield is usually a mess until December
That's why I stressed to everyone it's better to take a late pick on a guy like Ball (when he was on the roster) or Hillman instead. Getting a guy like Demarco was safer at that ADP
