Earliest you'd take Foster in a 12-team?

I have the 4th pick. If I wait past the third round surely he won't make it back to me. Read today that he's expected back early October at the latest.

Fourth or fifth round tops. Would you really feel comfortable if you passed on a top 15 RB or WR for a player you are not sure when they will return?

I'll be kicking myself if he returns and plays like he played last season but I see your point

I could not take Foster 28th overall. You would be passing on someone like Mike Evans there.

In my 10 team league I got him at the end of the 6th and considered it a steal. I feel like taking him in the third or maybe even fourth is starting to get a little too much. There's still a lot of risk there. He has been injury prone in the past, and he has a lot of carries under his belt. I expect him to play, but I also think it's likely that he's one of those players who is constantly on the injury report, and you have to have a back up plan in place just in case at the last minute.

Once it gets past the part in the draft where you go "damn he's still there" about players, then you go for it

Definitely sounds like the best advice to me.

Got him early seventh in my ten team league last night. Got AP then took my Wrs and TE. Took Randle, Gio and Woodhead to hold me over.

This basically. When you need a RB and these guys are the ones available I'd go Foster (and I have been). I grabbed him 5th round in one league and in another keeper league grabbed him at what was basically the end of the 4th round.

Did a 12 teamer tonight and took him in the 6th and was perfectly comfortable with it. I'd rather have Foster there vs the other options of Yeldon, Abdullah, Gurley, Jennings, Corwell, Gio etc.
