League leader in scoring. Out scored all 4 playoff teams by more than 100 points. Our scored the 2 seed by 200. Standard rules league, half point ppr.
The next leading scorer has about 80 points less and also missed the playoffs.
My best year ever points wise but got absolutely screwed on week to week matchups.

I am #1 in scoring and if I lose this coming week 14, I may be out of the playoffs all together if the right dominoes fall.

Guy in our league score 800 points this season, total, and he was tied for the last playoff spot. shite happens (he scored less than 30 points one game) - I really don't think I've ever seen a team as bad as this persons team was.
- I was the league leader in scoring by a decent amount - had about 450 more points this season than he did and the dude beat my team.

I lost to the worst team in our league by like 5 points. I played him the week Drew threw 7 touchdowns. This kind of thing happened over and over again. I kept losing games where I would have beaten the entire league except my opponent. Dems, as they say, da breaks.

As if you have any control over that. You put your best lineup together on any given week. You cant count for another team having a great week as well. Most of us dont play in top 5/6 leagues. I lost 179-180 two weeks ago to the lowest scoring team in the league that happened to have the same 5-6 record as me even though I was highest scoring team. His avg weekly scoring was 129 pts a wk, my avg was 197 pts a wk. He had his highest wk of the year and I had a slightly below avg wk. I needed that win to stay alive and didnt. I was still the 3rd highest scoring team in the league that wk. Ive also lost 187-194, 234-255 (far and away the two highest scores of the year both in the same wk, both in same matchup), 194-199, and 156-159. There is so much luck involved in fantasy. I literally drafted the best team, scored the most pts and wont even sniff the playoffs while a team that avg's 170 pts (to my 197) is in first place at 10-2-1 and has wins of 139-120, 105-91, 142-131 on his record, including a tie at 152. (We have slightly higher scoring due to PPC and bonus' for skill guys)

The last three years I've finished 1st in points and 5th in the standings.
Missed out the previous two years and I only made the playoffs this year because the league I'm in has a 6 team playoff, otherwise I would have been out this year as well because I lost to the 4th place team by .6 points.

Happened to me in my big money league. 7-6 record and the highest scorer. 2nd best is 67 points back.

All leagues should convert to top 6/bottom 6 scoring for this very reason.
