Auction Draft Strategy - Calling Brady early - Thoughts?

Doing my first auction draft this year in a work keeper league. Most teams already have their QBs thru keeper and as the only new player, I have the most money. Thinking about calling Brady early on with a low minimum with the idea that other teams won't want to waste their money on a QB thats out the first 4 weeks. Thinking I can grab a solid QB for cheap and use a fill in until he's back or strain another team's budget to grab something better down the line.
What are your thoughts on this? Dumb move? Good move?

Not a dumb move necessarily, you need to pay attention to how the draft is going to make that determination. Some auctions start with players going for cheaper than their ADP because people don't want to blow their purse early on or are not comfortable yet. If that's the case, go for it.
Other auctions, people come out swinging for the fences, in which case it would be in your best interest to not nominate a player you want.
I tend to throw out players I don't want early on, FWIW.

Throwing out OBJ seems to be the best player to throw out early. There's always 1-2 owners who must have him and overpay

Here's my only caveat. Some QB besides Geno Smith is going to get hurt in those first four weeks. Think Trent Green in 1999 or 2000 or whenever it was. I predict it will be Sam Bradford. When that happens, there will be fewer viable starters out there and a big scramble for any free agents. You're already going to have a wasted bench seat being warmed by Brady. Then you're fighting for scraps if Bradford is your fill-in and he's the one injured. It could happen to anyone, but you're starting out four weeks sans backup QB. That may be a precarious situation.

why throw him out early. save him until late when everyone has spent there money and get him for a discount
