Ameer Abdullah is set to be the new feature back in Detroit.

How many touches should Abdullah expect every week? How will the Detroit Lions implement Joique Bell and Theo Riddick into their running game?

Bleacher Report NFL Insider Jason Cole breaks down the Lions running back situation in the video above.

At this point I dont know what to believe, just the other day someone was reporting Bell was the guy and Abdullah was barely touching the ball.

Snagged Abdullah in the 12th round, this would be fantastic for my depth (Hill as a 14th round keeper, Forte, Foster & Hillman).

Really depends on expectations.

DET pushes out about 30ppg PPR for it's RBs. Reggie is gone, but Joique and Theo are back. Joique has been a 13ppg back. That leaves 17ppg between Theo and Abdullah. 2 years ago Reggie had 17 and Joique 13 with Theo under 2.

not the same joique bell imo, injuries and age is going catch up with him this year.

He was injured last year and averaged 13ppg. It was Reggie's injuries (10ppg) that opened the door for Theo (7ppg).

That said, I like Abdullah over Joique this year because his ceiling is higher and he'll have a defined role initially. It's a speculative opinion.
