Well we knew Reagan had a good chance....Trump not so sure...... this is felt way more an important victory considering the country was/is headed towards the sewer.

The late 70's were such a miserable time let by that idiot Carter. Literally everything about the economy sucked arse. I was glad to see that peanut farmer hit the road. Feel the same today about Obama.

Reagan was a fraud who never made a tough decision.

I voted for John Amderson in 1980.

Close - I know that I had similar dread when I voted for Reagan as I did when voting for Trump. I was shocked to the soles of my feet that Reagan won. Perhaps even more shocked than I am about Trump. I was certainly unprepared for the magnitude of his landslide.

The biggest difference is that I was unreservedly FOR Reagan ==> the only attraction I had to Trump was that he was not HRC.

Trump /= Reagan, but it is similar in voting for someone who loves this country and wants to see it prosper over someone who seems intent on destroying it's identity and history.

There are some similarities but this election was much more important with our national sovereignty, individual liberties, and foreign policy being on on the line. It was a big step in the right direction.
