re: Interesting FL election link, can see votes cast today in Pinellas County

Obama won Hillsborough and Pinellas by a total of 62,127 votes (won by 6%+ in both). He won FL by less than 75k. If Trump wins these two counties, he wins FL.

Ballots mailed
Republican 117,843
Democrat 117,798
Other. 70,485
That's pretty even.

That's just those who voted today. 481k have been cast total including mail-in and early voting.

Okay so I was troubled by Hillsborough early voting numbers appearing to favor Hillary. But here was 2012 data. It must mean that IND/UFA voters in Hillsborough swing heavily towards the GOP because Obama only won Hillsborough by a few points in 2012 despite these ugly-looking numbers for Romney
Bottom line - if more REP voters vote at the polls today in Hillsborough than DEM voters we can feel very good about Trump winning this bellweather county.

The trend I've seen over the past 40 minutes or so is Republicans are voting at around 1100 per 10 minutes. Democrats are voting around 850 per 10 minutes and NPA are voting about 725 per 10 minutes.

I feel good about FL now we need to steal CO, NV/NH, MI, PA, or WI. That's the hard part.

Any bellweather areas in MI that can be tracked online?

Trump is killing it in Pinellas and still trending upwards and is faring at least as well as Romney in Hillsborough although his trend there seems flat or too early to tell.

Election day turnout in Hillsborough thus far is only 6.7%
Total vote-by-mail and EV = 324,156
So they started the day with 38% votes already cast.

I was told registered republicans were breaking for HRC by 35%???

Trump trending up in Hillsborough
I'm going to walk Sir Winston and if both counties are still trending up when I'm back in 20 I'll feel super super good about FL.

How are independents/unafilliated polling in florida?
Posted on 11/8/16 at 9:19 am to IAmReality
Not that Florida is "in the bag" or anything yet, obviously it's going to be super close, but if Trump wins Florida that's a great sign.
The betting markets had him as low as 35% to win Florida and errors are usually correlated, means he may win the other places he's just 35%.
But ya, that's sorta wishful thinking at this point.

I feel okay to good about Michigan, but it's just a gut feel. It's based on the fact that the polling outfits during the Democrat Primary TOTALLY whiffed on projecting Hillary as the winner. The miss was something ridiculous...like 25% points. Furthermore we know Trump has the enthusiasm and a PERFECT message for Michigan voters. Plus there are a few bans of rain moving into the Democrat parts of the state.
Come on Michigan! Let's MAGA!

The last CNN poll shows 89% of Democrats voting for Hillary and 89% of Republicans voting for Trump in Florida. This is consistent with other polls. Candidate support by party is basically a wash. It was not like this during the race for the Republicans but the latest polling shows Republicans have come home.
The real difference maker is who will win the independents. IMO Trump wins Florida independents.
