I've got the entire set-up, and it works well around the house. I use the pole saw at the camp, and it works fine. Been using them for about 15 years.

If you are doing any heavy duty tilling (garden tilling) or edging, don't bother with the tiller or edger attachments.

I have had the echo trimmer edger combo for a couple of years. worlds better than the ryobi pos i replaced. my only complaint is that the edger head is a heavy bitch if you have a long stretch of curbing and cant use the little wheel.

How much per hour they work for these days?

I am a little slow but, what do you mean?
The toro is in its 3rd summer with no problem. I paid under $200 for it.
I am unsure what a home depot employee makes per hour....

I have the Stihl combo tool, I treat it like shite, but it keeps starting on one or two pulls. Six years old.

I had a combo system once and was not impressed. Now I have a good mower, top of the line weedeater, and a chainsaw. There isn't much you can't maintain with those 3 things.

It's slightly awkward to use, but it works great.

The combo edger will work your arse, I gave mine away.

I love the brush cutter, hedge trimmer and pole saw attachments. I used the pole saw to cut up the majority of two oak trees that fell during Gustav. I burned the Ryobi power head up.

I like the blower better than the normal ones because it weighs less and I can extend the air to the exact spot I want it to blow.

I use the Stihl Kombi motor setup too. KM55R with straight shaft trimmer and straight shaft edger. Plenty of power and light weight and the attachments are locked on with a clamp instead of the crappy spring-button Troy-bilt uses.

I was going to buy this today, until I walked into the closest Stihl dealer. My dad got the motor, trimmer and edger for about $300 about a month ago in Minden. The one I went to today wanted $350 just for the friggin motor. I asked if that was a package price and the guy said that it was just for the motor so I just laughed and walked out shaking my head.

Find another dealer or print out the MSRP from Stihl and show it to them. Should be $230 for the powerhead and $90 for the straight-shaft trimmer attachment and any reputable dealer will sell both together for a slight discount.
