re: OT Mechanics- car won't fire - TigerInTally
From the description I would bet Fuel Pump. Same symptoms on my Blazer and the wife's car when hers died. Also, with the Blazer, the gas gauge issues were resolved with the pump replacement because the little rivet holding the float arm wore out. On the Grand Prix there is an access panel in th...

re: OTers with young kids. Kids songs you can't get out of your head? - TigerInTally
They are older now, but the Veggie Tales Silly songs with Larry. They were kind of catchy, so I didn't mind them. I knew I had problems 3 hours into a trip for work when I realized that friggin cd was playing the whole time and I never noticed. ...
Why is it that we only hear of women doing these terrible things to infants? Are women more evil than men?
If it makes you feel any better there was a dude down near Orlando that beat a 2 year old to death because she ate the last piece of breakfast sausage... :dunno: ...

re: Any of you guys use the combo trimmer tools for yard work? - TigerInTally
I have had the echo trimmer edger combo for a couple of years. worlds better than the ryobi pos i replaced. my only complaint is that the edger head is a heavy bitch if you have a long stretch of curbing and cant use the little wheel. ...

re: 40 Cal vs. 9mm - TigerInTally
When I bought my M&P 9, I chose the one I did because I got a great deal on it. However, all things being equal, I would have preferred the 40. Not because of the 'which has the most knockdown power' debate, but for flexibility. When you buy a 40 cal you can usually buy a 9 mm or 357 sig conversi...

re: What gun have you ever sold or traded and wish now you hadn't? - TigerInTally
An M1 Carbine I had in high school. Left it with my dad because I always heard from him "you never sell your guns..." so I thought it was safe. I guess his philosophy only applied to 'his' guns and not those of his kids. Lost my 10/22 during the same trade. ...

re: New Gun purchase back ground check....... - TigerInTally
What is their reasoning for that law? If you have to wait for 3 days maybe you want go shoot someone if you think about it a few days? And if you are trading one in then you already have one you could use to murder with therefore you can take one home with you that day?
I think th...

re: New Gun purchase back ground check....... - TigerInTally
Yep. The only way to take a handgun home that day is to either have a CCW or be trading in an old handgun during the purchase. I think most states require you to be a resident to buy a handgun, or use a local FFL to do the transfer back to your home state. ...

re: New Gun purchase back ground check....... - TigerInTally
This is one of the reasons why I have a CCW. No background check needed. I just walk out with the guns!!!!
In Florida, the permit only gets us out of the 3 day wait for handguns, they still have to call in and do the check. ...

What is the going (reasonable) price for a DPMS stripped lower? One LGS here had 8 or 10 sitting in the display case last week and they wanted $400 each. I  This week the same are $365 ea. I figure they need to sit on the shelf and ripen for a few more weeks. Or am I about to miss out...
