It just hit me a science fiction concept that no one has thought of. A fusion/fission loop reactor that powers a concentrated solar sail.

why would you need anything to power a solar sail? The purpose of a solar sail is that it is pushed (like a boat's sail by the wind) by particles emitted from a star, aka solar wind.

Oddly enough, this is a deeper plot description than Star Wars Episode II.
