I have been fighting a losing leaf battle with 12 river birches and 2 oaks for years. Finally broke down and ordered an echo 580t backpack blower from my local shop. I've always bought stihl equipment but for some reason the echo's were almost half the price for comparable power. Anyone have a 580t? Curious how you like it or any echo equipment. Would echo be as reliable as my stihl equipment?

I have all echo equipment and haven't had a problem in the 5+ years of use. Chainsaw, weedeater, and blower. The 580t is a bit heavy but gets great run time on gas. Starts on the 3rd pull as expected every time. Throttle is very responsive. I had a problem with the lower tube portion vibrating loose but a small amount of tape to increase the size of the connection point fixed that. Not a big fan of the new echo straps though. I like the extra padding but they've got so many adjustment points it was a bit of a PITA to get it balanced properly on my back.

Echo is good stuff, I got a 580t at home and it's a great blower! It's 3 yrs old, no problems at all!
