Rife Scope Recommendations

Anyone have any recommendations for a rifle scope for hunting in Louisiana in Mississippi? Will be mounted to a Bergara B-14 HMR in 6.5 Creedmor. Budget is probably up to $1k depending on how many beers I've had while shopping online.

I’ve posted before about it but I’ll post again, I bought a vortex viper hs lr and couldn’t be happier. I actually went to the shooting range yesterday and the difference between that and my Nikon buck master and vortex diamondback is night and day as far as clarity and light gathering. Plenty of folks here like meopta as well but I’ve never had any personal experience with them. Good luck in your search

2 years ago I moved from a Leupold VX3 to a Vortex Viper PST and it was the best decision for me personally. I moved the VX3 to my sons rifle and he loves its so its really just personal preference. Best advice is find friends who have various models and brands and look through them and see what you think.

Get a Vortex man, i bought my wife a Winchester .270 that came with a low end Vortex on it and it is just as clear as my Nikon Buckmaster but i have shot buddies gun with a high end vortex and it is really nice...Plus it will put you under that 1k mark

Make sure you look through the scopes in person. If you buy a Vortex, I'd suggest the higher end stuff that is made in Japan. Their binos and lower model scopes are made in China. You can tell the difference in clarity and brightness. If you shop around, you can find a Leupold Mk4 priced around $700-800. LEU discontinued them for civilian use, as some dealers still have a few left for sale.

I’ll second the Burris. I love mine. Got it off DVOR.com for a little less than $800 at the time.
